ASM Managing Director & CEO Rowena Smith joined Ross Greenwood on Sky News’ Business Now programme to discuss the proposed acquisition of Australian Strategic Materials (ASM) by Energy Fuels Inc.
This combination will create a near-term Western ‘mine to metal & alloy’ rare earths champion — providing ASM shareholders with a significant premium and ensuring they retain the opportunity to participate in the substantial upside of a larger, better capitalised critical minerals business.
When speaking about negotiating the transaction, Rowena noted: “We wanted to make sure that the synergies that we knew this was going to create were being shared fairly with ASM shareholders.”
